Some browsers are "old" and stopped offering support. This leads to security issues and bad website lay-outs. A simple update like this can fix it. If you're running Internet Explorer 6 (7 & even 8) then Microsoft wants you to upgrade. Microsoft no longer offers support for those browers because of major security flaws and missmatched programming.
